Special Event: A Shelter Dogs Day Out

Just like we head outside for fresh air and mental wellness, shelter dogs deserve that same opportunity! Through the Doggy Field Day program, we’re giving rescue pups a much-needed break from the shelter while also increasing their chances of finding a forever home.

Each hike, we’ll be joined by one lucky pup sporting an “Adopt Me” vest, ready for a easy 2-hour adventure on the Hemlock Falls loop in South Mountain reservation. These outings give the dogs exercise, socialization, and a chance to connect with potential adopters in a fun, low-stress environment. Plus, you get an amazing hiking buddy for the day—who knows, you might just meet your new best friend!

How It Works:

• One shelter dog will join our group for a guided, 2-hour hike.

• The pup will wear an “Adopt Me” vest to help spread the word about their search for a forever home.
